School Fees
Catholic schools aim to keep their fees as low as possible and can provide flexible payment arrangements for families. If families are experiencing financial difficulty, we ask them to make an appointment with the principal, the business manager or the bursar. Discussions of this nature are handled with utmost discretion and remain confidential at all times.
Students who meet enrolment criteria will not be refused enrolment because of a families’ genuine inability to afford school fees. A scholarship fund has also been established to provide scholarships to eligible students. Catholic systemic school scholarships will be granted equitably based on need and merit.
There are three levels of annual fees to be paid:
- Diocesan Tuition Fees set by the Parramatta Diocesan Schools Council
- Diocesan Building Levy set by the Parramatta Diocesan Schools Council
- Resource and Service Fees set by Xavier College
The Annual Diocesan Tuition Fee can be paid once a year or as three equal payments in Terms 1, 2 and 3. There are very significant discounts on Diocesan Tuition Fees for the second (25% reduction) and third (50% reduction) children enrolled from the one family in a Catholic systemic school, and no charge for the fourth and subsequent children. Catholic systemic schools eligible for sibling discounts are in the Diocese of Parramatta, Archdiocese of Sydney, Diocese of Wollongong, and Diocese of Broken Bay as well as at St Dominic’s College, Kingswood.
The Diocesan Building Levy is paid by all families with one or more children in a Parramatta Diocesan school. The money collected from the levy is deposited into a fund from which all building costs for schools in the diocese are met. The levy is not tax deductible.
School based fees are set by Xavier College and are used to support the cost of excursions, community and cultural activities, sport and subject resources.

School-Based Fees
The Xavier College School-Based Fee is used to support the cost of excursions, community and cultural activities, sport and all classroom resources.It covers the following items, but is not exclusive to this list: College Learning Planner, ID Cards, Paper and Photocopying, postage and printing, Reports, Presentation and Awards nights, College Masses and Reflection Days. It also covers costs associated with entry fees into various educational competitions. This fee will also cover such items as internet access, maintenance of College computers, software, licence fees, access to eBooks and other technology for the use in a variety of subjects.
This fee ensures that the College can adequately support the delivery of learning technology and the mandatory requirements of all syllabi.

Payment options
Parents have many fee payment options and Xavier College accepts the following payment methods:
- BPay
- Australia Post BPay
- Cash paid at the office
- EFTPOS at the office
- Cheque or Money Order by mail or at the office
When fees or other payments are sent to school with students, please ensure they are in a sealed envelope which is clearly marked with the student’s name, Home Group and the purpose of the payment. This envelope should then be handed into the office as soon as the student arrives at school. There are envelopes available at the office for this purpose.
Payment arrangements
